Kevin Woods MRIAI
Managing Director | Project Architect | Project Manager
Kevin has been working in Architecture since 1996 and Project Management sine 2011 having moved from a Mechanical Engineering and CAD background. Kevins time working in architecture between 1996 and 2011 was spent collaborating closely with Shay Cleary, the founder, and principal of Shay Cleary Architects, a highly respected award-winning practice. During his time at Shay Cleary Architects Kevin has had significant design input into numerous large and small scale public, commercial and residential projects completed by the practice, most notably the redevelopment of Cork County Hall, Cork County Library, Alto Vetro Residential Tower and the Liffey Trust Building. Kevin has worked on every stage of these projects and has gained a wealth of experience at all stages of the design and construction process.
Since setting up Kennedy Woods Architecture in 2013, Kevin has developed strong relationships with a growing number of commercial clients and has been focusing primarily on commercial architecture, space planning, interior design, and commercial office and retail fit-outs. In this time Kevin has gained a wealth of valuable experience in project management and cost management in the commercial and retail fit-out sphere and has provided these services on a growing number of projects for clients.
Following the departure of Kevin's colleague from the practice in 2019, Kevin has become the sole managing director of the practice, now rebranded as Woods Architecture & Project Management. To further strengthen the practices service offering, Kevin is currently undertaking a Masters in Project Management at the highly respected UCD Smurfit Business School and is looking forward to graduating in 2020.
