Kevin Woods M.Sc PM MRIAI
Managing Director | Project Architect | Project Manager

 

Kevin has been working in Architecture since 1996 and Project Management since 2011 having moved from a Mechanical Engineering and CAD background. Kevin’s' time working in architecture between 1996 and 2011 was spent collaborating closely with Shay Cleary, the founder, and principal of Shay Cleary Architects, a highly respected award-winning practice. During his time at Shay Cleary Architects Kevin has had significant design input across all work stages on numerous large and medium-scale public, commercial and residential projects completed by the practice, some of which include the redevelopment of Cork County Hall, Cork County Library, Alto Vetro Residential Tower, and the Liffey Trust building in Dublin to name but a few. Kevin has gained a wealth of experience at all stages of the design and construction process.

Since co-founding Kennedy Woods Architecture in 2013 with Des Kennedy, Kevin has developed strong relationships with a growing number of commercial clients and has continued to focus primarily on commercial architecture and commercial office and retail fit-out. In this time Kevin successfully attained his professional practice accreditation and so becoming a fully qualified and registered Architect. Kevin has gained a wealth of valuable experience in Project Management and Cost Management in the commercial and retail fit-out sphere and has provided a range of design and management services on a growing number of projects for the practices clients.

Following the departure of Kevin’s colleague from the practice in 2019, Kevin has become the sole managing director of the practice, now rebranded as Woods Architecture & Project Management. Having recently completed a master’s degree in Project Management at the highly revered UCD Smurfit Graduate Business School. Kevin has enhanced and solidified his expertise as a multidisciplinary practitioner.

Kevin is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants and Advisers (IMCA), an associate member of the Association for Project Management (APM), and a member of the Irish chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI). Through his multidisciplinary practice, Kevin continues to provide architectural and project management consultancy and advisory services to clients.
